Removing vSCOUT, vSTREAM Embedded and vSTREAM Agent on a Linux host is very simple.

The installation directory is ether <code>/opt/NetScout</code> or <code>/usr/lib/NetScout/</code> unless you have chosen a different installation path during installation.

Run the correponding script:

<code><INSTALL_DIR>/rtm/bin/vscout_uninstall.sh</code>

<code><INSTALL_DIR>/rtm/bin/vstream_uninstall.sh</code>

=== Re-installation ===

If you&nbsp;receive the message that another version of the agent is still installed&nbsp;on the target server:

1) check if you executed the correct uninstall script (see above)

2) login to the server with admin rights and run the folowing command:

<code>yum list installed | grep vS</code>

If the output contains vSCOUT.* or vSTREAM.*, parts of&nbsp;the agent are still installed.

3) If this is the case, run the corresponding&nbsp;command:

<code>yum -y uninstall vSCOUT.x86_64</code>

<code>yum -y uninstall vSTREAM.x86_64</code>

You should now be able to install the agent.
