Removing the power cord from any TruView appliance&nbsp;or using the power on/off button on the server front without proper shutdown of the applications and services, have a 50% chance on irreparable damage to the database and&nbsp;file system.&nbsp;A rebuild of the appliance may be necessary to recover from this problem.

== Solution ==

You must shutdown TruView appliances via the operating system

*Connect KVM or connect to <IP-TVA> with SSH Client 
*Login as "TVadmin" (default credentials "tv") 
*type&nbsp;

# shutdown -h now</pre>

*Wait until the server is&nbsp;powered&nbsp;off before removing the power cords
