Introduction

vSTREAM Embedded runs as a service on Linux and as background application on a Windows. Consequently, vSTREAM Embedded is using a small amount of host resources. vSTREAM Embedded has the ability to capture and store a small amount of data packets on the host.

Solution

  • vSTREAM-EMB uses up to the equivalent of 100% of the number of vCPUs assigned to it (1 to 8). vSTREAM-EMB processes may appear on up more than the number of vCPUs assigned, but the total usage will never exceed 100% of the total vCPUs assigned
  • vSTREAM Embedded requires 1 GB of free RAM (1 interface monitorred)
  • vSTREAM Embedded uses a maximum of 500 MB of storage (not configurable)

(*) vSTREAM Embedded has the ability to capture and store a small amount of data packets on the host. Those packets are kept in RAM and not stored on the hard disk. In this case, memory requirements will increase.
