Introduction
VNSE is a virtual machine that contains a vSTREAM Agent and acts in the same way as a vSTREAM.
Installation
Step 1: deploy ovf
VNSE is shipped as a zipped folder that contains all required file to deploy the virtual machine. VNSE can be deployed on ESXi 5.5 or higher.
After deployment, the vm will have the following properties:
- 2 CPU
- 4GB RAM
- HD1 = 65GB
- HD2 = 235GB
- Two NIC
The first NIC is used for management and must be assigned to the corresponding port group in VMware. The COMCERT engineer will configure a static IP after deployment.
The second NIC is used for monitoring and must be connected to a port group that allows monitoring of all VLAN on the hypervisior. For the moment, leave this interface assigned to "VM Network".
Step 2: start virtual machine
The COMCERT eningeer will take over from here.
