In most cases the mac address reset request is granted immediately. The website suggests to use the Update Tool to reassign the now unassigned license to the new MAC address but this procedure is likely to fail. We recommend to use the following procedure.
Reboot the laptop or computer to make sure no reminent parts of the AirMagnet software remain in memory.
For Wifi Analyzer Pro, go to the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\AirMagnet Inc\AirMagnet Laptop\
Find the file with the *.lic extension and rename it to *.lic.bak. These should be only one file of this type in this folder.
Start the AirMagnet software the usual way. and follow the instructions on the screen.
Either active the software online or download the license file from your My AirMagnet account.
The software is now bound to the new MAC address.
