Enabling ports 3 and 4

By default, the two 10 Gigabit SFP+ ports (ports 5 and 6) are automatically enabled for use as InfiniStreamNG monitoring ports. If you want to use the two 1 Gigabit RJ-45 ports (ports 3 and 4) instead, do the following:

echo "export MON_INF=eth2,eth3" > /opt/NetScout/rtm/config/nsagent_config.cfg

Reboot the appliance.

Note: if you ever want to return to using the 10 Gigabit ports instead of the 1 Gigabit ports, you can restore the default settings by deleting the configuration file and rebooting the appliance.

Enabling Synthetic Testing for use with nGeniusPULSE

Synthetic testing is enabled by default on Edge Sensor 490 devices using a dedicated test port (port 2)

as a wired connection and/or internal Wi-Fi as a wireless connection. No scripts need to be run to support

synthetic testing on Edge Sensor 490 devices.
