Introduction
In case you need to (re-)activate AirMagnet software options for OptiView XG, you will notice that online activation is no longer possible. As a result of the transfer of AirMagent to Netally, the server used in that process is no longer active. Be aware that AirMagnet software options for OptiView XG cannot be registered/activated with Netally because OptiView XG remains a Netscout product.
Solution
Do not attempt to change the content of the license files as it will corrupt the license.
Licenses are tied to the MAC address of the OptiView network port. You can only install the license files on the original device.
Option 1: you have a backup of the licence files
Congratulations. In this case the activation is relatively easy. The easiest procedure is to save the license files in their respective folders.

Format of the license file: A1159-XXXXXXXX.lic
Installation path: C:\Program Files (x86)\AirMagnet Inc\AirMagnet Laptop
Spectrum XT
Format of the license file: B4079-XXXXXXXX.lic
Installation path: C:\Program Files (x86)\AirMagnet Inc\AirMagnet Spectrum XT
Survey Pro
Format of the license file: A4029-XXXXXXXX.lic
Installation path: C:\Program Files (x86)\AirMagnet Inc\AirMagnet Surveyor
Option 2: you do not have a backup of the licence files
In this case, you must open a support case in order to obtain a copy of your licence file(s).
Do not forget to mention the serial number of the OptiView as well as your Mastercare number when opening the case
