Located on the appliance motherboard:

  • Management interfaces (MGT) from left to right: .  Only one of these ports must be connected to the network (InfiniStream does not support redundant connections).  By default, the first management port from the left is used as the appliance's management interface.
  • Dedicated remote management modume (iDRAC).  This is a 1000BASE-T Ethernet interface.  It is recommended to connect this interface to the network to allow out-of-band management of the appliance.

Located on the NETSCOUT ASI Accelerator NIC:

  • Monitor interfaces (MON): 4x SFP+ slots. These slots are empty and are to be equipped with compatible fiber optic transceivers.  Attention: copper transceivers are not supported.  At least one of these ports must be connected to a SPAN or TAP output.  These ports are named (from top to bottom) if3, if4, if5 and if6.
